27th February: Private Party – Sunset Beach

February 22, 2010

Sunset Beach will be the venue for a top secret, high profile birthday celebration hosted by the men of D-seven.

The gig goes down on Saturday the 27th of February. If you’re invited, send through a few requests nice and early. If you’re not, pimp your own celebration out with an authentic D-seven performance.

Celebrate good times.

25th February: Private Party – Clifton

On the eve of Thursday February 25th 2010, D-seven will be collaborating with Boschendal to Make a Moment at No. 15 Third Beach of the acclaimed Clifton Bungalows.

The venue is gorgeous, the vibe is sophisticated, and D-seven is the headline act.

Regrettably, the event is strictly subject to invite.

So in that case, watch your inbox!

D-seven Parties Privately

Shame

This week sees a double bill of private parties for the boys of D-seven, who’ll be doing just about anything (vocally, that is) to show their clients a good time. The first stop is No. 15 Third Beach of the acclaimed Clifton Bungalows. D-seven will be collaborating with Boschendal to Make a Moment on the eve of Thursday February 25th 2010 for this one.

Make a Moment

Unfortunately, the event is a strictly invite-only affair. But we won’t stop you if you have a telephoto lens and you absolutely HAVE to get a picture.

That's hot

That's hot

Then on Saturday the 27th of February it’s off to Sunset Beach in Cape Town for an invite-only birthday function at a top secret, high end venue. It’s simple, you grow one year older, and we’ll do the job of keeping you young on your birthday with tight harmonies shapely bottom lines. Bass lines, that is. Get your mind out of the gutter.

If you’d like to have the D-seven experience on your birthday or at your function, you should contact us. Do the right thing.

24th February: D-seven at the Grand Daddy Hotel

That’s right folks, another Wednesday is bearing down upon us, and that means two things: Steers for lunch and D-seven for dinner.

Get to the Grand Daddy Hotel in Long Street. Take the elevator to the roof. Be shocked and amazed by the Airstream Trailer Park. Keep walking. Grab a glass of Boschendal Method Cap Classique. Find a seat. Be blown away by D-seven. Go home. Sleep. Attend psychiatry again – it wasn’t a dream this time around either.

Date? The 24th of February.

Place? The Airstream Trailor Park Hotel, roof of Grand Daddy Hotel, Long Street, Cape Town.

Time?18:00 – 20:00.

Dress? Nicely.

Cover charge? Gratis, verniet, mahala.

In the spirit of Wacky Wednesday, Patrick and Francois will be offering a “two-for-one” special. You do the math.

D-seven in the News Cycle

February 10, 2010

Creek Whispers

Following the massive success of the Up the Creek Festival this past weekend, D-seven has made it into the online news cycle, albeit in an unconventional way.

In Overheard at Up the Creek on Channel24.com, an anonymous member of D-seven was quoted as saying to  African comedian, Rob van Vuuren (of Corne and Twakkie fame), “Thank you, Rob van Vuuren, for bringing all of us out of the closet at the same time.”

Needless to say, you’ll have to ask one of the boys exactly what they meant by that. After all, context is everything. And they’re all straight. Super straight. So straight it’s fabulous.

Awkward. Anyhow, make sure you check out the gig guide, and ask one of the boys in person.

D-seven Makes it All Better with Cosmo and Bilton

February 7, 2010

compo-pic

The 14th of February may be Valentines Day, but the 13th is the date that you’ll want to remember. That is, of course, if you and your partner are the lucky winners of this fantastic competition by D-seven and Cosmpolitan and Bilton Wine Estate, in associati0n with Boschendal and The Grand Daddy Hotel.

The winners of the competition, which is currently in it’s final phase of adjudication, by judges, will be driven by classic car to Bilton Wine Estate for wine tasting and romantic dinner for two on the evening of the 13th of February. And if you happen to live outside of Cape Town, you’ll be flown to the mother city courtesy of Bilton before hand. No romantic dinner is complete without a little music, and D-seven is on hand to wind up the romance an extra few notches, whilst doing their absolute best not to appear attractive to your date. Fine wine is courtesy of Bilton and bubbly by Boschendal.

WIN THIS AWESOME PRIZE

After dinner, the lucky couple will be whisked away to their lodgings for the night, to the ultra-chic Airstream Trailer park on the roof of the award-winning Grand Daddy Hotel, where more Boschendal bubbly will be on hand. The following morning our couple is treated to a champagne breakfast (did anyone say Boschendal?) in Cape Town, and will be free to take in the sites and sounds of the Mother city before provided transport delivers them safely back home on Sunday evening.

If you’ve entered the competition, we reckon it’s time you started holding thumbs…
