SA Music is Lifting its SKIRT GAME

May 8, 2010

We all know that Goldfish, got the ball rolling when they broke SA’s Borders in the International Scene, when they signed a huge deal with Pacha. Thank God, Dom discovered Jazz after a brief and regrettable “Roxette” phase and Dave graduated from his Rock Band and middle parting days…

Now they are currently streching the scene, name & appreciation for SA Musos…I was lucky to meet these two dodgey sods at Dorp Street Theater playing in a very cool jazz band called Breakfast Included back in 2004. Since then they have become good mates and more importantly an inspiration to me personally with what they can do musically….

Since then Locnville & Goodluck have started making serious waves. I met Brian & Andrew Chaplin of Locnville a couple of months ago and we had a good chat after one of their gigs and now they just signed a massive deal with Sony in the US & UK which will put SA music on an even bigger map…

Lastly, Ben & Jules from Goodluck have catapulted to the biggest stages, with some fresh FRESH original tunes, they have fused together some of the coolest intruments, effects and themes to create yet another amazing act…

.Why do I care?? Well being a member & manager of D-seven and soon to be of a fresh new group (watch this space)…these guys are clearing a path for SA Muso’s to do bigger, better and more amazing things…keep it going boys

D-seven Studio Update

May 7, 2010

So it’s been a little over a month now, and our debut album is coming along really well…

Despite German measles taking out half our team, we have managed to laydown around 13 tracks, including some of our favourites “sex on fire”, “killers all these things” “viva la vida” an of course goldfish…

Unfortunately Tobi our main producer an engineer for the project has left for Nigeria and the world… But we got A plan to keep him in the loop as we continue…

Will keep you guys posted… Very cool interiew coming soon!
