D-seven is leaving on the 30th of June for Grahamstown Festival. We are doing an intimate performance at an awesome space in Greenpoint. With only 100 seats, we look forward to sharing with our Cape Town Fans some of our new tracks and programme for our up and coming Grahamstown Trip. After spending a lot of time in studio tracking our most well known tracks, and out of studio working on new music, we look forward to sharing a fantastic evening with you in an amazing space. Due to the great acoustic you can most certainly look forward to hearing a couple of our songs unplugged during the evening.
Anna Ridgewell & Cafe Max will be hosting D-seven in an awesome venue that will be transformed for the evening for this intimate & exclusive occasion. Now we all know the World Cup Last 16 Matches are on that evening (not in Cape Town) and so we have timed our performance in between the two games so you don’t miss one minute of The World Cup. After our performance we will be screening the 2nd Round 16 Match in High Def with a projector and massive sound system.
Its our last fundraiser before we leave, so please come support, listen, drink wine and enjoy the football with us!

So it’s been a little over a month now, and our debut album is coming along really well…
Despite German measles taking out half our team, we have managed to laydown around 13 tracks, including some of our favourites “sex on fire”, “killers all these things” “viva la vida” an of course goldfish…
Unfortunately Tobi our main producer an engineer for the project has left for Nigeria and the world… But we got A plan to keep him in the loop as we continue…
Will keep you guys posted… Very cool interiew coming soon!

Butlers, Cape Town’s pizza brand of choice will be hosting the mother of all wood-fired parties at their Rondebosch headquarters next Wednesday the 17th in March to launch their latest (and arguably, greatest) menu item – The Rotherham Pizza.
As the name of the pizza might imply, Mr 2oceansvibe himself will be there to mark the momentous occasion, the moment when the world of pizza will become greater than before.

D-seven will be on hand, betuxed and perhaps filled with thin crust pizza, Boschendal bubbly.
NoMU will also be making an appearance, and in case you’d forgotten, it’s St Patrick’s Day, so our good friends Jack Black, De Grendel and Guinness will be on hand for merry-making purposes.
Unfortunately the event is by invite only. If you’re there, make sure to stop by and make a song request. Just be sure not to talk with your mouth full.

Ladies and gentlemen (but mostly ladies), we have some bad news. And some good news. In fact, the bad news is the good news.
This Wednesday the 10th of March marks a two month break from performance at our favourite venue, The Airstream Trailer Park atop The Grand Daddy Hotel, Long Street.
The good news is that we’ll be using those two months to work on new tracks, record an album and spend bromantic weekends together.
So, if you’re really honest with yourself, the two month wait will be worth it. You can survive the time by reassuring yourself that:
1) D-seven will be better looking when we return
2) D-seven will have newer, better tracks to sooth your troubled hearts.
3) The withdrawl symptoms will almost kill you, but they won’t, and when you set eyes on us again we’ll rock your faces off with new, recorded tracks to get your sticky little paws on. Down, tiger.

So get your fine behinds to the Airstream Trailer Park atop the glorious Grand Daddy Hotel in Long Street this Wednesday at 6:30pm to bid your lads a fond, albiet temporary farewell, and to make a moment with Boshendal and the beautiful people of the rooftop.

Huzzah.

D-seven takes great delight in announcing that The Good Doctor, AKA Scott Lee-Jones, is spoken for!
His betrothed is none other than D-seven’s Number One Groupie, AKA Sarah Thomas. She’s this awesome:

AWESOME
As you’ll all agree, they are a beautiful couple, and last night, in many a Cape Town living room, a collective sigh of “About time” was heard. Mass occurunces of high fives and hugs were reported to have spilled onto the streets by late yesterday evening.

Perfect
Nevertheless, we predict their kids will look something like this:

A "handful"
Here’s too you, Scott and Sarah. Stay awesome.
With all our love and good wishes,
D-seven

Sarah has a rare "Scott mole" on her lip.

This week sees a double bill of private parties for the boys of D-seven, who’ll be doing just about anything (vocally, that is) to show their clients a good time. The first stop is No. 15 Third Beach of the acclaimed Clifton Bungalows. D-seven will be collaborating with Boschendal to Make a Moment on the eve of Thursday February 25th 2010 for this one.

Unfortunately, the event is a strictly invite-only affair. But we won’t stop you if you have a telephoto lens and you absolutely HAVE to get a picture.

That's hot
Then on Saturday the 27th of February it’s off to Sunset Beach in Cape Town for an invite-only birthday function at a top secret, high end venue. It’s simple, you grow one year older, and we’ll do the job of keeping you young on your birthday with tight harmonies shapely bottom lines. Bass lines, that is. Get your mind out of the gutter.
If you’d like to have the D-seven experience on your birthday or at your function, you should contact us. Do the right thing.
